Title: Space Planning & Analytics Bill Rate Target: $120/hr Start Date ASAP 3 Month Contract Location: Remote Summary: The Space Planning & Analytics (SP&A) role will work cross-functionally with the WaaS CatMan and Local Ops to optimize revenue/square foot across DashMarts real estate portfolio. This role involves managing database integrity creating insights from product and site level data working cross-functionally with Ops to implement new strategies and tactics and helping to redefine our business strategy. As a new role within a new team the individual will be expected to not only contribute to existing processes but also help redefine our strategic approach over time. 6-10 years in a data centric consulting role is preferred for skillsets and responsibilities see below (note: #1 & #2 are required skillsets #3 is nice to have) Insights Generation and Metric Creation (40% of time) Skills: analytical problem solving data visualization consulting-style storytelling Analyze space operational and financial data to identify key drivers of site performance. Propose new business strategies grounded in insights (e.g. profitability per cubic foot SKU efficiency metrics). Build new KPIs and metrics to measure success; translate findings into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders. Develop presentation-ready deliverables to communicate insights and proposed strategies. Act as a thought partner to SP&A leadership by surfacing opportunities for long-term strategic improvements. Implementation of Site Changes (40% of time) Skills: project management cross-functional communication operational problem solving Support execution of space optimization initiatives (e.g. layout changes capacity pilots utilization targets). Partner with Local Ops to test and roll out site-level changes that improve storage put-away and receiving efficiency. Track the impact of implemented changes on key metrics (Revenue/Sqft Profit Velocity etc.) and iterate based on results. Identify and escalate opportunities for investments (e.g. additional equipment redesigns) that improve long-term site profitability. Ensure operational processes are adjusted to fully capture the benefit of new strategies. Data Management (20% of time) Skills: Excel/Google Sheets SQL data cleaning/validation Maintain and update dashboards (e.g. Revenue/Sqft Sales Velocity) ensuring accuracy and usability for decision-making. Conduct regular audits of site- and SKU-level data; flag discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Local Ops and Finance. Manage recurring data uploads and ensure timely refreshes of dashboards. Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline workflows. Provide ad-hoc analysis support as new priorities and business questions arise.
