Duties and responsibilities:
Deliver lectures tutorials small-group discussions and practical training sessions in Human Anatomy to undergraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Deliver lectures seminars and tutorials in Human Anatomy to postgraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Facilitate small-group discussions and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Involvement in curriculum development and module management in modules presented to undergraduate and postgraduate students in health professions.
Participate in the departmental research programme and postgraduate supervision.
Inherent requirements:
A PhD on NQF Level 10 in Human Anatomy (for a permanent appointment)
OR
Masters degree on NQF Level 9 in Human Anatomy (contract appointment: five years during which a PhD on NQF Level 10 in Human Anatomy MUST be obtained to be converted to a permanent position).
Proven academic work experience of at least two years in the higher education sector.
Proven experience in the delivery of poster or oral presentations at conferences or equivalent activities.
Evidence of manuscripts produced that have the potential to be converted or submitted for publication in DHET-accredited journals.
A good academic record (attach).
Recommendations:
Proven record of teaching Anatomy-related modules at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
A valid drivers license.
Knowledge of an additional South African language.
