About the Role
A market-leading engineering firm is seeking a Heavy Current Engineer with a proven track record in large-scale substation projects. This role involves overseeing substations powering 4000 units ensuring compliance safety and technical excellence.
Key Requirements
Professional Registration: PrEng with ECSA (able to sign off on own work)
Experience with high-voltage substations powering large residential/mixed-use developments
Strong project management experience (Prince2 certification advantageous)
Excellent leadership coordination and reporting skills
Key Responsibilities
Oversee design planning and delivery of heavy current substation projects
Conduct site visits and ensure alignment with engineering standards and regulatory compliance
Manage budgets schedules and resource allocation
Engage with developers contractors and professional teams
Sign off on electrical designs and ensure quality of execution
Mitigate risks and resolve challenges to keep projects on track
Provide high-level project management and technical oversight
