Job Description

Location: Johannesburg
Employment Type: Full-time Onsite

About the Role

We are looking for Candidate Engineers (registered with ECSA) to join a leading engineering team. This role supports the Heavy Current Engineer on major substation and residential projects providing technical input and reporting on all on-site activities.

Key Requirements

  • Registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer (Electrical any relevant category)

  • Early-career professionals looking to develop under a senior mentor

  • Strong technical grounding in electrical engineering

  • Willingness to work full-time onsite reporting directly to the Heavy Current Engineer

  • Commitment to deadlines and quality assurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and assist with monitoring substation projects

  • Prepare technical reports and feedback for the Heavy Current Engineer

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

  • Assist with project documentation and quality control checks

  • Gain exposure to substation projects powering large developments

  • Support project execution from planning to completion
