Performance Objectives for Year One
- Architect a Scalable Feature Set: Within the first 9 months architect and lead the development of a major new feature set for the flagship Android application focusing on a clean reusable and scalable architecture to support future product innovations.
- Establish Android Best Practices: By the end of year one establish and document a new set of Android development standards. You will actively mentor other Android developers measurably improving code quality and consistency across the team through peer reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Overhaul the Automated Testing Framework: Within the first 6 months lead the project to enhance the automated testing framework for the core application. The goal is to significantly increase test coverage and build a more robust CI/CD pipeline to reduce bugs in production and accelerate deployment cycles.
- Ensure Platform Integrity and Compliance: Take full ownership of the technical health of the existing Android platform. This includes effectively triaging bugs managing technical debt and ensuring the application consistently meets the stringent quality and regulatory standards required for a medical device software.
