Own low-volume/high-mix production for launch vehicles and spacecraft engines. Youll be the bridge between development and manufacturing-driving DFM/DFA first-article builds production test and continuous improvement across complex flight hardware.
Lead DFM from design release through ATP: define build flow for quality speed and scalability.
Represent Manufacturing in cross-functional design reviews; down-select feasible concepts.
Build and maintain mBOMs CONOPS and schedules through development.
Create clear work instructions specs and best practices; standardize processes.
Stand up new manufacturing capabilities and capital equipment; resolve conflicting requirements.
Train and support technicians; write detailed process plans.
Own issue management: track failure modes drive RCA/CA verify closures.
Solve non-conformances; develop sustainable repairs.
Define/execute production testing (incl. high-pressure gas systems) to hit rate targets.
Adapt quickly to evolving design and production challenges.
5 years taking electro-mechanical designs from concept test production.
Strong DFM/DFA capacity modeling process mapping and fault analysis.
CAD GD&T proficiency; able to communicate clearly to engineers techs and leadership.
Spacecraft/launch vehicle familiarity (education and/or on-the-job).
First-principles problem solving crisp trade studies and bias to action under pressure.
Willingness for occasional extended hours; comfortable working hands-on on the floor.
BS in EE/ME/Aero/related (or 4 years experience in lieu of degree).
Bonus: Low/medium-volume production RCCA/PFMEA/QMS/SPC controls/automation and Python.
Compensation: $155000-$187000 base salary per year.
