We are looking for new grads to accelerate their progression to a high-acuity department through our innovative orientation program. These positions will have orientation in specific departments that will assist in preparation for your career in the Peds/PICU. Your professional development nurses will support you along the way and help you grow your professional practice to ensure you have a successful career in your chosen specialty.

When working on our 10-bed Pediatric and 4-bed PICU unit you will provide patient and family-centered care for pediatric patients with varying levels of acuity. The Peds/PICU multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled RNs CNAs Child Life Specialists Hospitalists Intensivists Pharmacists Respiratory Therapists Health Unit Coordinators and other support staff.

Position Details:

  • Part-time 60 hours biweekly (0.75 FTE)

  • 12-hour Day/Night rotation every third weekend/holiday

  • There may be varied schedules depending on the orientation unit

  • Prior Hospital or EMS experience preferred

  • Enjoy an attractive hourly rate of $38.01/hr as well as generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials

What Youll Need:

  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing

  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire

  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

  • PALS within 6 months of transfer to the Peds/PICU

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients families and healthcare team members

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
