Tool & Calibration Specialist Quality Engineer
Tool & Calibration Specialist is responsible for monitoring and driving equipment product & component improvements. Execute calibration certify and maintain all measuring instruments and tools/equipment ensuring device accuracy and adherence to industry standards routine inspections preventive maintenance and actively involved in developing the quality capabilities lead projects that permanently resolve systemic issues participating on cross functional project teams ensuring proper steps are being taken to improve quality.
This position requires expertise and familiarity in quality systems statistics tools and calibration process and systems MSA and Core Tools.
Job Requirement
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field. Equivalent allowed.
Valid Visa and Passport.
In-depth knowledge of QSM Core tools PFMEA Control Plan Quality Assurance and Quality Preventive Processes.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
Demonstrated experience with similar product and/or manufacturing processes.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification desired.
Understanding of company systems processes and procedures.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated strong communication skills.
Demonstrated project management skills.
5-7 years experience.
Less than 10% travel is required.
Role & Responsibility:
-Quality Governance
T&C Specialist Key responsibilities include develop calibration plan procedures and reports manage equipment inventory troubleshooting equipment issues performing repairs and ensuring compliance with health safety and quality regulations.
Tools and Equipment Calibration & Maintenance. Perform internal and/or external calibration including dimensional pressure torque gauges Etc using specialized equipment and/or software as well as conduct repairs or upgrades as needed.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify and resolve any equipment issues.
Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of electro-mechanical Controls and Maintenance equipment and relevant technical work experience.
T&C Specialist QE oversee key elements of the quality system for quality assurance and quality control in the production main assembly sub-assembly and all related areas.
Drive Quality Management Systems initiatives to enhance a quality culture.
Define and coordinate audits and assessments on products and processes that ensure outgoing products are free of defects and comply to specifications. This includes validation of new and/or changes in designs machinery process fixtures tools and equipment.
Supervise activities of engineers and interns in completion of assigned tasks and projects.
Non-Conforming Materials
Oversee monitoring quality of supplied and/or internally manufactured components and products for conformance to specifications.
Ensure that the appropriate metrology equipment the correct MSA the accurate methods and processes are being followed to remove non-conforming materials from production
Drive corrective action on non-conforming materials and secure deviations in situations where nonconforming materials may be temporarily allowed.
Corrective Actions and Improvements
Lead projects that permanently resolve systemic issues and improve quality capabilities.
Control Plan Execution
Enhance standard work processes tools measurements checks and training used to ensure complete and consistent work is performed.
Ensure designated calibrated equipment is available and that calibrations are maintained.
Quality Capability Development
Identify opportunities maintain and procure measurement equipment implement monitor controls processes and capabilities that improve visibility to the health of our process compliance to specifications traceability and accountability.
Complete justifications to secure the resources to successfully complete projects.
Train less experienced personnel in quality related techniques and procedures.
