Who are we looking for

Were looking for a resilient emphatic and proactive Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator (Fixed-Term) to join our team in Geraldton Western Australia.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Carryout contractor management plan suitability audits
  • Participate in Construction Risk Assessment Workshops
  • Manage incident and hazard reports
  • Undertake compliance audits and inspections of contractor works
  • Assist contractor to meet Main Roads safety standards

What you will bring to the team:

  • 3-10 years relevant experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and Management Systems in general
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Apps and platforms (Excel Word Visio Outlook and SharePoint)
  • Ability to lead and carry our comprehensive audits
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • Certification in Lead Investigation (ICAM)
  • With background in collecting specimens for alcohol and drug testing
  • Internal Auditor
  • Working knowledge on Basic Worksite Traffic Management
