Introduction
We are looking for a senior social worker who has extensive experience working with children and young people across a range of ages to join our Adolescent Family Help Team. You will be a skilled and reflective practitioner who is creative and can work with young people and their families in an innovative way to ensure they receive the right help at the right time. We are looking for applicants who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and who have the experience and confidence to work with young people who are affected by intra and/or extra familial harm.

You will work in a diversified team including advanced practitioner social workers and family are a dynamic and compassionate service committed to working with young people and their families who are typically adolescents who are affected by extra familial harm the criminal justice and care systems. If you arepassionate about making a difference in the lives of young people have the skills and dedication to support young people and their families through their most challenging times then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
We are committed to using relational and strength-based approaches as we recognise that this works best for children affected by intra and/or extra-familial harm the criminal justice system and on the edge of care. We aim to be Trauma Informed Anti-Racist and use Restorative Contextual Safeguarding & Signs of Safety Approaches to deliver interventions to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with children and families under child in need child protection and/or legal frameworks.
Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting adolescents.
Work as part of a team of social workers ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to adolescents.
Support the team manager to monitor the performance of the team identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes

Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House in Catford SE6. There are 2 local train stations 3-5 minutes walk from the office and the train journey from London Bridge is approximately 15 minutes. There are also numerous bus routes that stop right by the office.
We operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary
50175 - 52269 per annum SSW (SCP 35-37)
All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) which is subject to evidential proof.
