Job Description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist East Valley School District 0.5 FTE

Reports to: Building Principal and Director of Special Programs

Work Schedule:4.5 hours per day 184 days per year this position will begin as soon as possible for the 2025/2026 school year.

Salary: East Valley Certificated Salary Schedule $28903.50 - $58214.50 depending on placement per degree credits and experience.

Job Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Special Education or designee the Occupational Therapist will provide specially designed instruction and related services. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families and educational team members to develop appropriate education programs and advise on health related concerns as they impact education for students with special needs. The program goal is to help students to function as independently as possible within the least restrictive environment. This position requires working with children with various ages and a variety of disabilities (preschool to 12th grade). Position requires being an itinerant and traveling to different schools within the district.

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while

performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be required to deal with distraught and/

or angry persons and may be exposed to infectious diseases carried by children. The noise level in the

work environment is acceptable to this particular environment and can vary depending upon daily activity

but will remain within acceptable ranges.

The Occupational Therapist shall be evaluated per the Director of Special Programs.
