As a Workplace Team Manager you will lead the Workplace team who are responsible for the day to day operational facility management of our office in Glasgow and related travel and distribution services from this location.
This is a customer focused role managing the Workplace team to define develop and deliver reception accommodation distribution and travel services to meet customer needs. The role requires close collaboration and joint working with the Workplace Team Manager in Dundee to align services.
Responsibilities
Line manage Workplace Coordinator (B1) to ensure a customer centred workplace service is delivered aligned with established service standards; ensuring that people policies are being applied to support performance.
Manage the operational facility management activity at our office in Glasgow to ensure a safe work environment for office users.
Manage workplace activity at our office in Glasgow ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and standards; including in relation to health and safety fire safety and minimising environmental impact.
Manage workplace contracts to ensure effective and consistent service delivery that meets customer needs and conforms to statutory requirements while realising value for money from our contractual agreements.
Create and maintain effective service delivery relationships; including working with external service providers and internal procurement finance digital and health and safety colleagues.
Create and maintain effective customer relationships to understand their needs to help support service development and continuous improvement.
Ensure client feedback is gathered from building user groups and other sources; ensuring the information and data is used to identify take forward and develop services.
In conjunction with the Workplace Team Manager in Dundee ensure that the workplace operating model is embedded to support continuous improvement and consistent service delivery
Ensure compliance with the organisations administration policies regarding assets finance procurement and data protection.

Experience of working with external contractors to deliver operational services gained within a property facilities management or similar function.

Working pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in our Glasgow office. This role is office based with a minimum of 4 days on site required with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week depending on customer demand. Occasional travel to Dundee will be required.
