The Project Engineer NGDV BEV leads engineering projects for the Next Generation Delivery Vehicle (NGDV) Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) function area including BEV powertrain hardware electrical and software integration V&V. Responsible for following product development processes that ensure proper project management resource planning and project execution. Responsible for leading critical decisions related to change control issue tracking and resolution cross-functional coordination and supplier engineering tasks. Provides technical leadership within the NGDV/BEV to various parts of the organization both internally and externally. Manages complex engineering projects related to analysis design integration validation and troubleshooting of BEV powertrain on delivery vehicles. Provides integration and execution expertise for vehicle control and embedded systems development.


YOUR IMPACT:

  • Engineering project management for NGDV BEV function area plans directs and coordinates project activities of product development activities.

  • Manage the execution of the design development validation configuration control processes and procedures.

  • Support internal quality control manufacturing and aftermarket groups through production and sustaining phases of the NGDV program.

  • Responsible for BOM ERP and design release processes for the NGDV BEV power-train.

  • Support BEV power-train mechanical design and integration with key internal and external component owners.

  • Has responsibility for budget management resource planning and cost control related to the NGDV BEV power-train development activities.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with internal and external customers across segments and functions.

  • Ability to present and defend technical engineering decisions to Engineering leadership Oshkosh leadership and external customers.

  • Responsible for completion of a complex project on time.

  • Responsible for managing multiple priorities.

  • Collaborate as needed with other engineering business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.

  • May have exposure to the external customers and/or industry organizations.

  • Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers working on a common project.

  • Perform and check complex engineering calculations investigations and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.

  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of complex plans designs computation methods and/or reporting.

  • Research create and update standard engineering methodology and procedures - best practices etc.

  • Perform complex engineering analysis of customer requirements including design of new and modified systems ensuring current products remain competitive as well as supporting new products.

  • Interface with customers/suppliers to resolve complex technical issues to provide the business with innovative industry leading solutions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Regular attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accredited Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field with five (5) or more years of related experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accredited Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Configuration Control experience.

  • Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).

  • Automotive or other mobility product design and integration experience.

  • Power Electronics and Machines integration design experience.

  • Energy Storage system integration design experience.

Pay Range:

$89500.00 - $140500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
