SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team at SpyGlass Pharma. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping and executing the companys financial strategy planning and operations as the Company advances into Phase 3 clinical trials and potentially commercialize SpyGlass technology. This role requires a proven leader who has successfully guided life sciences organizations through late-stage fundraising IPO preparation and execution and public company reporting and operations. The CFO will oversee all financial operations investor relations corporate development and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy to support the companys growth and transition from clinical-stage to a commercial-stage with an emphasis on long-term commercial success in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
- Lead capital-raising efforts and cultivate relationships with venture capital firms institutional investors and investment banks.
- Serve as the primary contact for the investment community and lead investor relations efforts including roadshows earnings calls analyst days and regulatory disclosures.
- Partnership with the CEO and external advisors including bankers auditors and legal counsel.
- Establish and maintain robust financial infrastructure systems and controls to support SEC reporting Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and public company standards.
- Oversee all core finance functions including FP&A accounting budgeting forecasting treasury and tax with an emphasis on building and scaling a high-performing finance team.
- Provide strategic input on corporate development initiatives M&A opportunities and capital market activities.
- Partner with the executive team on commercial strategy product development and long-range planning to support the companys transition into a commercial-stage enterprise.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors presenting clear data-driven and compelling financial narratives.
- Foster a finance culture that is collaborative compliant and aligned with SpyGlass mission and values.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience with at least 5 years as CFO or senior finance executive in a publicly traded life sciences company.
- Demonstrated success leading IPO processes and operating as a public company CFO ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets investor relations and M&A/corporate development in the life sciences sector.
- Track record of building and leading FP&A and finance teams in high-growth commercial-stage environments.
- Deep understanding of GAAP SEC regulations and public company reporting standards.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach operational agility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across stakeholders including investors analysts bankers and the Board.
