Position Summary
The department is seeking a qualified candidate to provide leadership management and coordination of simulation-based education within the School of Nursing (SON). The coordinator works under the supervision of the department chair and in collaboration with faculty to lead the integration evaluation and innovation of simulation across undergraduate graduate and doctoral curricula to enhance student competency support faculty development and advance scholarly contributions to the field.
The position plays a pivotal role in positioning the SON for national recognition including progression toward Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) accreditation while cultivating a sustainable and collaborative simulation culture across the SON

Please be advised that an appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement between California State University and California Faculty Association. These provisions state the Order of Work or the order in which available courses must be assigned to faculty starting with tenure-line faculty and ending with new lecturer appointees.
Appointees will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States (Fresno State isnot a sponsoring agency for Temporary Faculty positions).
Compensation -
Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience within the appropriate salary range. The salary ranges are established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code 2359). Beginning salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per an academic term.
The salary range for the Simulation Coordinator:
Anticipated Semester
This is a full-time temporary 12-month position as a Lecturer in School of Nursing starting January 5 2026 - August 31 2026. Upon successful completion of evaluation during this period this temporary faculty position may extend to include the entire Academic Year 2026-2027.

Demonstrated experience in designing delivering and evaluating simulation activities curriculum and/or programs.
Experience leading or contributing to faculty development research and/or accreditation initiatives related to simulation.
