As part of the new 35-acre medical campus St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center features new approaches to healthcare via its onside collaboration with Dignity Health partners. The Westgate team has a solid patient/physician focused style to customer service; actively partnering with patients and physicians to plan for the continuum of care. It is with Dignity Healths humankindness movement that gives St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center the opportunity to open a hospital that is based upon partnerships with patients physicians employees and the community.
With future plans to expand St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center a 60000 square foot hospital includes a 12-bed full-service emergency department a 24-bed inpatient unit 2 operating rooms 2 procedural rooms dedicated space for diagnostic services an ambulance bay and helipad. The campus features some of the most innovative uses of materials to promote patient safety patient satisfaction and medical efficiency.
We are extremely proud to be a nationally recognized center for quality quaternary care medical education and research. St. Josephs includes the internationally renowned Barrow Neurological Institute Norton Thoracic Institute Cancer Center at St. Josephs Ivy Brain Tumor Center and St. Josephs Level I Trauma Center (which is verified by the American College of Surgeons). The hospital is also a respected center for high-risk obstetrics neuro-rehabilitation orthopedics and other medical services. St. Josephs is considered a sought-after destination hospital for treating the most complex cases from throughout the world. Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Assists with the efficient operation of the department. The job is responsible for supporting patient care in the performance of reception support and general clerical duties including receiving incoming calls and visitors facilitating communication among staff and maintaining department records.
Job Responsibilities:
- Address staffing needs upon request.
- Monitors nursing personnel information to keep accurate and up to date.
- Demonstrates ability to use available software programs.
- Contributes to the efficient operations of the unit and department.
- Follows the directions of the nurse manager by collecting unit data to identify trends and improve unit outcomes.
- Demonstrates a commitment to growth and maintenance of competency.
- Greets and assists all customers physicians patients visitors and employees in a friendly and timely manner. Facilitates and directs communication among visitors employees and physicians within the assigned work area. Assists physicians in locating patients staff and information. Maintains and updates phone list/database/etc.
Qualifications
Minimum:
High School diploma or GED
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in daily and long-term assignments.
Self-motivated well organize and detail-oriented.
