Continuous Quality Improvement department

Salary range: $65000 - $72000/annually

The Opportunity Alliance is looking to fill a new Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist role with our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) department.

We are looking for an experienced licensed social worker who has a keen eye for detail and can help support our programs review and improve our clinical documentation. This role is more administrative in nature but relies on the value of clinical mental health experience. We are looking for someone who is excited to coach and train in proper clinical documentation and someone who can look at the process overall with a keen eye for improving processes.

The Clinical CQI Specialists responsibility is to work with programming and quality staff to ensure quality client outcomes and effective delivery of clinical services. Specifically the Clinical CQI Specialist is responsible for ensuring ongoing activities in reviewing monitoring and educating program clinical staff in documentation of sound clinical practice in client records. This role will support introducing the clinical documents and clinical documentation of medical necessity and service delivery as staff onboard with relevant TOA clinical programs. The Clinical CQI Specialist will provide all departments with training and technical assistance in priority clinical training topics. This role will support programs with clinical client record review processes and support program leadership in action planning related client clinical workflows.

Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week salaried position.

Primarily regular business hours M F.

Location: Office is located in South Portland ME.

Opportunity to work partially remote in a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications:

  • A masters degree in social work with 10 years of clinical mental health treatment experience and 3-5 years of clinical supervision and LCSW required.
  • Prior Experience in providing clinical mental health treatment in a managed care environment and utilization review in a managed health/behavioral health context is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on details and have strong organizational analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively assess performance issues and develop appropriate and effective intervention plan.
  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to identify and utilize relevant reference material i.e. Program Contracts Maine Care regulations level of care criteria SAMHSA best practice material etc.
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology to expedite job performance.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • Normal office conditions such as sitting with occasional standing walking reaching stooping bending kneeling crouching typing and lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings but is not a primarily and essential job responsibility.
