Job Description

Scott Dunn is an award-winning luxury tour operator creating tailor-made vacations to destinations all over the world. With offices in the UK US and Singapore we pride ourselves on providing outstanding service to all our guests from the moment they begin their research online right the way through to post-vacation evaluations.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a supportive and inclusive Engineering Manager to guide and grow a team of engineers. This role blends technical expertise with empathetic leadership helping individuals succeed while ensuring the team delivers meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching & Growth:Nurture the development of each engineer through regular 1:1s encouragement and personalised career support.
  • Technical Guidance:Provide approachable thoughtful technical direction ensuring solutions are reliable sustainable and collaborative.
  • Prioritisation & Balance:Partner with product and business stakeholders to set clear priorities balancing delivery with the teams wellbeing and long-term success.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Build trusted transparent relationships with stakeholders ensuring the teams voice is heard and represented.
  • Culture & Inclusion:Create a safe inclusive and supportive environment where all engineers feel empowered to contribute and thrive.

What Were Looking For:

  • Experience leading and coaching software engineers with a focus on growth and wellbeing.
  • Good understanding of modern software engineering practices (object-oriented design APIs cloud services DevOps) even if not hands-on daily.
  • Comfortable supporting teams working Azure and SQL Server and able to guide conversations and decisions without needing to be the deepest expert.
  • Strong skills in communication collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Commitment to building an inclusive supportive team culture where everyone thrives.

Location

We aim to find someone who would be office based in our London Hammersmith office.
