Within the Quality organization of the Chelmsford MA facility we are seeking a skilled Scientist who will be motivated by this exciting opportunity to help our workstream teams manufacture products meeting quality requirements and support the fast-growing needs of our clients.
What will you do
Quality Control Microbiology Scientist key responsibilities:
Support Microbiology lab activities in a BSL-2 lab
Perform water sampling and testing for continuous check on RODI performance.
Perform bioburden endotoxin sterility check and growth promotion testing.
Develop and validate methods for bioburden testing on bioproduction products.
Conduct Environmental Monitoring of manufacturing suites and QC lab spaces.
Use excellent aseptic technique in sample handling testing and disposal.
Adhere to in-house processes and procedures while maintaining compliance to ISO 13485 standards.
Making sure incubator Biosafety cabinets PMs and instruments calibrations are up to date.
Making sure laboratory environment cleanliness and usability
Identify and drive completion of improvement opportunities.
How will you get here
Education and Experience:
Bachelors or equivalent degree from accredited college/university in relevant scientific rigor
Experience within a Microbiology lab strongly preferred
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Skilled with aseptic technique to collect and test products experienced to handle bacteria and fungi culture and can operate Microscope incubators autoclave.
Molecular biology experience will be a plus.
Familiarity with bioburden methods (i.e. pour plate membrane filtration spread plate).
Familiarity with SAP Agile or other electronic data/document management systems is a plus.
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment and adjust activities to meet the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on Quality.
Excellent inter-personal communication presentation and organizational skills with good attention to detail.
