Hiring an engineering intern provides both immediate operational support and long-term strategic value to our nuclear operations team. Interns bring fresh perspectives current academic knowledge and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and best practices in engineering and nuclear safety. They assist with data analysis procedural documentation and project supportfreeing up experienced engineers to focus on higher-level tasks while ensuring continuity in routine but essential activities.
Additionally the nuclear industry faces a growing need for skilled professionals as part of workforce renewal and knowledge transfer. By engaging interns we invest in developing the next generation of nuclear engineers fostering a pipeline of talent familiar with our safety culture operational standards and facility-specific systems. This early exposure increases the likelihood of future full-time hires reducing recruitment costs and onboarding time.
Interns also contribute to innovation by supporting pilot projects conducting research and applying modern tools and simulation techniques learned in academia. - Job Description
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support key operations within our nuclear power facility. This role offers a unique opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or chemical engineering. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals across departments such as operations maintenance engineering or radiation protection to contribute to ongoing projects data analysis procedural reviews and operational improvements.
- Assist in collecting organizing and analyzing technical and operational data.
- Support engineering and operations teams with documentation reporting.
- Participate in safety and compliance-related activities.
- Engage in training sessions and site walkthroughs to build foundational knowledge of nuclear systems and plant operations.
- Contribute to special projects aimed at improving efficiency safety or regulatory adherence.
- Maintain accurate records and follow strict quality assurance and nuclear safety protocols.
