Our Medical / Surgical Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication which are essential for providing specialized care to patients This 26-bed department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to and geriatric patients

How youll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Prioritizes and organizes delivery of nursing care; accepting a variety of assignments and consulting with other disciplines as appropriate.
• Assists in staff development activities including orienting instructing and training others emphasizing departmental as well as interdepartmental cooperation and teamwork.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patients comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress and aids patients and families as needed in times of stress or crisis.
• Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors records and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What were looking for

• Current state RN license
• Associates degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90-days of hire.
