AZ- RN-MSU (PRN)

******************** POSTING FOR RETURNING RN TRAVELER ********************************* Job Description: Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non Covid: typically 4:1 max 5:1. Covid patients: typically 2:1 max 3:1. Required Certifications: American Heart Association BLS ACLS. and PALS is required. Experience: Three (3) years of med-surg experience 1 year pediatric experience required MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS. Setting: 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics PRN Shift: 12 hour shifts (Shift will be assigned) but must be flexible to work other shifts weekends and holidays as needed. A minimun of two (2) Shifts per month and a maximum of two (2) call-off of scheduled shift during addition to inpatient may be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings. Housing: Information can be found under the Facility Group Document section. Orientation: on Mondays only - If your traveler misses the compliance deadline they will be pushed to the following scheduled New Employee Orientation. Other: Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights phones etc

Shift: 12-Hour Night/Day shift. PRN schedule with a minimum of 2 shifts per month with a maximum of two (2) call outs during contract.
