DESIGNER/DETAILER
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Mechanical Engineer Manager

  • Complete 3D designs and assemblies for a variety of moderately complex to complex robotic and automated systems
  • Properly size and select automation components including pneumatics sensors and motorized systems
  • Review 3D models for safety concerns accuracy and completion
  • Work concurrently on one or more projects of moderately complex scope
  • Create 2D detail prints field sketches and layouts as assigned
  • Collaborate as a productive member on large projects and supporting Sales in development of new system concepts
  • Schedule activities to complete assigned tasks and projects communicate and document requisite information per established Invio policies and procedures
  • Understand customer needs apply technical knowledge to identify process requirements recommend and implement custom engineered solutions
  • Demonstrate Engineering professionalism in all activities and provide efficient service to customers
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be professional proactive and positive. Having a passion for exceptional customer service and support is a must. Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with human resources is a requisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of our internal and external customers.
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Technically proficient with various 3D software programs (Position requires Solidworks proficiency)
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical principles understanding of 3D models layout drawings and engineering specifications
  • Self-directed and able to act as mechanical technical lead for assigned projects.
  • Must be able to successfully communicate with internal and external customers who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Must be able to learn understand and apply new technologies
  • Must possess planning and organizational skills
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail in all attributes of a project
  • Must be able to take direction and effectively complete tasks in a high-pressure environment
EDUCATION
Prefer a minimum of a two-year degree in design mechanical technology drafting manufacturing or a related field and least five years of related experience. Requires at least two years of experience managing multiple projects. Requires at least three years of mechanical 3D solid modeling experience and proficiency in Solidworks. Must have basic knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office.
