Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)


Summary / Objective

The Human Resources Manager (HRM) works to support the personnel team within Human Resources (HR) and R.F. MacDonald Co. (RFM) operations over 9 geographic locations. This position is responsible for managing HR related duties working with leadership team members in various locations within the organization and maintaining RFMs adherence to regulatory compliance. This consist of covering the HR department structure integrating various needs around guidelines for local/state/federal governance and RFMs strategy-based core standards of operation and corporate culture.


A key element for this position will be working with the CHRO to meet the departments targets and objectives along with assisting in driving company core initiatives and objectives. Below will outline specific areas of focus in the HRM role.


Essential Functions

  • Daily direct management and leadership of Personnel Team duties and role scope within HR.
  • Continual process improvement within communications and work processes benefitting the end-users within RFM
  • Daily weekly quarter and annual compliance within reporting external agencies and Corporate ESOP
  • Coaching and development of personnel team
  • Covering inquiries / questions specific to company policies and procedures
  • Reconciliation of compensation and benefits plans ensuring provider plan billing is accurate and adjustments/corrections are coordinated with Finance
  • Cross-review of all personnel data entries for processing in payroll and HRIS systems
  • Serve as the HRIS Analyst for systems within RFM and cloud-based applications
  • Assist head of HR with strategic plans and development of company/corporate objectives
  • Manage ESOP administration and collaborate with external sources supporting the employee-owned structure of RFM
  • Train and be trained in required HR concepts and principles; build training plan for direct team and leadership
  • Collaborate with all leaders within RFM to ensure efficient methods for transference of personnel data and information
  • Act as employee relations manager for situations within RFMs workspaces; assess and mitigate risk w/ documentation and follow up
  • Participation in department company and level meetings across the organization
  • Perform annual 90/120-day reviews for personnel team; review and follow up on status for performance reviews by department head
  • Backup and support compensation and benefit strategies

The candidate best suited for this position will have in depth experience with most competencies within the realm of human resources. The ability to provide direction and follow up on team deliverables with frequency will be a primary part of the work routine. Be able to pivot from one item to another will be frequent as well.


This position requires well organized and documented work style and utilization of system tools to keep deliverables and projects on task and time for completion. This is not an entry level opportunity and the employer is looking for talent that truly enjoys multiple aspects of the work process daily and is motivated by new concepts and utilization of systems to ensure efficient work processes.


The position is also a conduit for Senior Leadership Mid-Level Management and all Staff Levels so being able to bring previous skill of coordinating and collaborating is going to be a huge plus and credit to the success in this position.

Requirements

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has in-direct supervisory responsibilities and serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department and company. The position functions are given autonomy with occasional direction for projects company and department initiatives and scope of duty changes.


Required Education and Experience

5 7 years of experience as a Generalist or Lead in Human Resources required.

High School Diploma and some Secondary level education or degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field


Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelors degree and/ 7 10 years of relevant human resource experience
