About the team
Roku Inc. is seeking an experienced and self-motivated privacy manager to join its Privacy Product and Technology Counseling Team. This position is a great opportunity to work on some of the most interesting projects in the TV streaming industry while helping shape the companys global privacy program.
This role is in office Monday - Thursday.
What you will be doing
- As a member of Rokus Legal Department you will:
- Maintain and enhance Rokus privacy program.
- Partner with Rokus privacy and product counsel to ensure compliance with evolving privacy laws and initiatives.
- Monitor and track new privacy laws regulations and enforcement trends.
- Support Rokus privacy impact assessment process including workflow oversight ensuring timely completion of assessments and vendor coordination.
- Monitor and report on the progress of privacy engineering workstreams.
- Manage Rokus privacy mailbox.
- Assist in the intake and processing of data subject requests.
- Manage integrations with privacy vendors.
- Prepare privacy presentations and training materials and support other cross-functional privacy awareness initiatives.
Were excited if you have
- At least 7 years of experience as a privacy manager (or other similar privacy and legal compliance roles).
- Experience working within an in-house legal or compliance department.
- A strong understanding of global privacy laws.
- Experience supporting teams responsible for compliance with data privacy data protection and other consumer regulatory requirements.
- Fluency in PowerPoint Word Excel Outlook SharePoint Confluence and Lucidchart.
- Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with knowledge management processes.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- The ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects independentlyand quickly.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to meet overlapping tight deadlines.
