Our school-age program in the Colonial School District at Whitemarsh Elementary School is seeking a creative and enthusiastic assistant teacher for before- and after-school programming. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with planning and facilitating a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children including those with special needs.
In conjunction with Site Supervisor complete childrens daily communication forms semi-annual assessments anecdotal records and positive communications with parents including parent/teacher conferences.
Maintain workspace to ensure sanitation and safety of the children and staff in compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) COA and Keystone Star accreditations. Provide support as requested in the plan for licensing and monitors visits
Develop and maintain Professional Development Record (PDR) through in-service and outside training
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum experience of 2500 verified hours in childcare required
Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills reflecting strong customer service and the ability to interact effectively with parents/guardians and school district personnel
Work Schedule
25 hours per week Monday through Friday
7:00 AM 9:00 AM and/or 3:00 PM 6:00 PM
