Strong candidates with a commitment to interdisciplinary research on advancing the health span regardless of subspecialty (speech language voice swallowing hearing or balance) will be considered. The successful candidate will participate in interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts with research centers and other departments schools and colleges.
Applicants whose research interests 1) utilize artificial intelligence mobile technologies machine learning or other methods that could enable collaboration with Computer Sciences and/or 2) focus on affective neuroscience or wellbeing fostering collaboration with the Center for Healthy Minds will be given especially strong consideration. Other interdisciplinary collaborations could involve but are not limited to the Department of Gender and Womens Studies La Follette School of Public Affairs the Department of Social Work Sociology and the Center for Demography of Health and Aging.
Successful applicants will teach graduate and undergraduate classes mentor students conduct scholarly research and provide service to the department college university and academic community nationally or internationally.
