Job Description:
Responsible for managing and executing day-to-day production activities related to condensers heat exchangers and pressure vessels. The role requires hands-on experience in fabrication a good understanding of ASME codes and the ability to lead and supervise production teams effectively to ensure timely cost-efficient and quality-compliant output.
Key Responsibilities:
Manpower Supervision:
Lead and manage production staff to ensure optimal resource utilization and discipline on the shop floor.
Production Execution & Planning:
Plan daily and weekly production schedules aligned with project deadlines and client requirements.
Monitor progress and ensure production targets are met without compromising on quality.
Engineering Drawings Interpretation:
Read and interpret GA (General Arrangement) and fabrication drawings accurately to guide fabrication processes.
Fabrication Expertise:
Oversee fabrication of pressure vessels condensers and heat exchangers as per customer and design specifications.
Ensure welding assembly and finishing activities meet quality and safety standards.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to ASME codes and internal quality standards throughout the production process.
Conduct routine quality checks and resolve any non-conformities.
Work Reporting:
Maintain and submit daily production reports highlighting progress bottlenecks and manpower utilization.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean organized and hazard-free work environment.
Team Motivation:
Motivate and mentor team members to ensure high productivity morale and adherence to process standards.
Coordination:
Work closely with design planning quality and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of production activities.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to cost reduction and productivity enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
6-8 years of hands-on experience in production engineering especially in heavy fabrication or pressure equipment manufacturing.
Sound knowledge of ASME codes and standards related to pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Proficient in reading fabrication and GA drawings.
Strong leadership team management and interpersonal communication skills.
Proactive problem-solving and decision-making ability.
