The Opportunity
South Bow is seeking students interested in gaining hands-on experience in Tax Accounting and Internal Audit. This position is ideal for students enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce Bachelor of Business Administration or a related academic program. We currently have four opportunities available: two are planned to begin in January 2026 and the remaining two are targeted for a May 2026 start.
As an integral part of the Controllership team youll contribute to key financial operations and gain practical insights into our business. This immersive experience will allow you to expand your professional network while collaborating with experienced colleagues. This is a 4-month opportunity with potential for extension.
Roles are based in Calgary.
What You Will Do
Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other compliance documents
Support the accounting team with month-end and quarter-end closing processes
Assist with internal audit activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
Engage with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and communicate progress updates effectively
Minimum Qualifications
Actively enrolled in a degree program in Commerce Business Administration Accounting or a closely related discipline with a minimum of one completed semester
Enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution
International students must hold a valid study permit and provide a post-secondary work placement authorization letter
Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety across both professional responsibilities and personal conduct
Upholds and integrates South Bows core values throughout daily work practices and organizational initiatives
