Registered Nurse (RN) Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PACU)
Full-Time 0.8 FTE 8-hour shifts Afternoons w/call rotation
$7500 Sign-on Bonus Available *Based on meeting eligibility requirements.

More about our team
We have 12 OR procedure rooms. There are 8 10 and 12-hour shifts depending on unit and need. Nurses use a self-scheduling process with a call rotation for weekdays and weekends. Weekend call is about 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Weekend and holiday rotations are mapped out by year. Call for a new OR nurse is typically 6 months out but may do some buddy call earlier.
How you will contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors degree preferred).
Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)
