Job Summary
Our onsite Hair Stylist is a great perk UWM offers to make our that we offer in-house to make our Team Members lives easier. You will be highly focused on working in the salon but also have the benefit of getting to know our diverse teams within UWM as well as work with our Benefits Team to assist with the teams ever-growing needs around Wellness. Responsibilities usually vary widely keeping every day exciting. Generally you can expect to work 40 hours per week occasional evening/weekend hours might be required.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Planning organizing ordering styling supplies and serving our Team Members salon needs
- Maintaining the salon schedule along with wellness related schedules records and reports
- Working in partnership with the Benefits and Wellness Team to develop exciting promotions for our Team Members within the Salon
- Maintaining a clean and vibrant space
- Overseeing fitness and recreation areas ensuring safe and clean facilities and equipment if needed
- Delivering elite client service to all clients and team members
- Outgoing personality love for people and a strong health & wellness advocate!
- Multitasking and organizational skills are a must
- A creative optimistic mind

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in hair styling
- Cosmetology and/or barbering license that is up to date
- Experience using different types of scissors trimmers and other tools to create hairstyles for all types of hair
- An understanding of the different types of hairstyles a person can request and the ability to achieve their desired outcome
- Experience as a Hair Stylist Hairdresser Barber or similar role
- Up to date with industry trends
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- The ability to communicate with clients and provide the best service possible
- Open to change and embraces it
- Ability to sit stand walk reach climb and lift up to 50 pounds
