JOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE: Occupational Therapy Paraprofessional
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or G.E.D.
2. Aptitude for the work to be performed
3. Work history of good attendance dependability andpunctuality
4. Be able to drive to each school site on specified days
5. Ability to work effectively without close supervision
6. Ability to follow directions effectively
7. Effective communication skills with children and adults
8. Demonstrated computer skills appropriate for the position
9. Ability to pass the requisite assessment.

REPORTS TO: Occupational Therapist Special Education Director or othersdepending on the position.
WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Occupational Therapist Special Education Director classroomteachers principals office personnel
JOB GOAL: To assist in providing individualized therapy services to students whorequire additional support with their fine motor skills gross motorskills and their sensory needs in order for the students to be able toperform everyday tasks independently.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. These essential job functions are not to beconstrued as a complete statement of all duties performed. 1. Maintains and respects confidentiality of all informationacquired.
2. Prepares classroom activities under the supervision of theOccupational Therapist.
3. Works with small groups of students to reinforce materialinitially introduced by the Occupational Therapist or asidentified through individualized assessments.
4. Assists individual students in need of special attention.
5. Assists in duties relating to supervision of student activities inany area on school campus where students are present as
assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
6. Assists Occupational Therapist with non-instructional dutiessuch as snacks toileting or clothing routines as appropriate to
assigned position.
7. Operates office audio/visual and technology equipment.
8. Attends required professional development programs.
9. Performs all other duties as may be assigned for the benefit of
school programs.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School days and hours per year as designated in a one-year workagreement. Salary to be established with the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisionsof the Boards policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
