Position Description:
- Supervise the TMP which provides services to include general administration dispatch and control of the LRCs GSA fleet. Provide oversight of after duty-hour on-call service to support emergency transportation requirements in accordance with DOD 4500.36-R AR 58-1 AR 710-2 AR 385-55 AR 600-55 and TMP Standing Operating Procedure(s).
- Evaluate vehicle requests in accordance with AR 58-1 determine availability of the vehicle type requested and give priority to mission essential requests.
- Provide bus/truck and driver support to meet authorized requirements for the Ft Bliss AOR.
- Coordinate among customers appropriate vendors and GSA to ensure prioritizing and performance of scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
- Ensure successful completion of all mission operations in accordance with established policies and management goals regarding funding storage workload manpower capability component issue equipment items and inventory control procedures.
- Performs employee discipline counseling employee performance reviews and other personnel reporting. Reviews and approve employee time sheets.
- Screen applicants and conducts interviews for open position.
- Ensures all employees observe policy procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security and monitors for compliance.
Qualifications:
- Former US Army Motor Transport Operator (MOS 88M40 Truck Master) ideal.
- Must have at least five years of supervisory experience a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations policies procedures and instructions in TMP management.
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of applicable program relationships concepts and methodologies pertaining TMP operations
- Must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized. Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others.
- Skill in written and oral presentations.
- Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work.
- Position will require varying hours as the TMP is a 24/7 operation.
- Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress. Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- High School diploma or GED
Working Conditions:
- Able to stand sit and operate in a shop environment for extended periods of time
- Able to stoop kneel bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
