Job Description:
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to build backend solutions
- Swiftly tackle defects and solve them for good reducing tech debt along the way
- Proactively make improvements to the backend architecture in terms of robustness security and performance
- Leverage APIs for integrations with other platforms
- Contribute to automated testing efforts and increasing test coverage
Job Specification:
- At least 2 years commercial experience in backend software development
- Server side coding experience preferably in Golang and writing maintainable testable code with unit tests
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases preferably ElasticSearch and Cassandra
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment
- Experience working with AWS features and tools
- Product minded: committed to building the best user experience with experience working closely with product managers and other engineers
- Understand the trade-offs in employing different engineering solutions to a problem valuing pragmatism over idealism
- Eager and open to learning
