Cardiac department has 36 beds. Patient population and diagnosis: Cardiac and CVA patients. Post op day 1-2 CABG pacemaker patients Bradycardia Tachycardia SVT AFIB w/RVR or new a fib acute MIs PCI patients Fem/Fem bypass CEAs and more. We also do step down (IMCU) patients. Nurses are exposed to more critical patients making it a good bridge to departments such as ED and ICU.
How you will contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role will:
Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors records and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What were looking for
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors degree preferred).
Additional requirements include:
Basic Life SupportHealth Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
