What will this role achieve
As a Site Services Engineer you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the operational integrity of our facilities. This hands-on position involves a broad range of responsibilities across building fabric plumbing gas systems HVAC and joinery. Youll ensure that all site services are safe compliant and functioning efficiently supporting both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections maintenance and repairs on:
Building fabric (walls floors ceilings doors windows)
Plumbing systems (water supply drainage sanitation)
Gas installations (boilers pipework compliance checks)
HVAC systems (ventilation air conditioning heating)
Joinery tasks (doors fittings furniture repairs)
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies.
Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers when external services are required.
Maintain accurate records of work completed materials used and compliance documentation.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in minor project works and refurbishments as directed by the Site Services Manager.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Bring your experience
Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or engineering role.
Strong knowledge of building systems and services.
Relevant qualifications in plumbing HVAC or gas (e.g. Gas Safe certification).
Competence in joinery and general building maintenance.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade (e.g. plumbing carpentry mechanical engineering).
Gas Safe registration (desirable).
City & Guilds or equivalent in HVAC or building services (preferred).
Health & Safety training (e.g. IOSH manual handling working at height).
Shift Pattern: Mon - Friday (40 hours)
