What Youll Do
As a Cook you will:
- Prep ingredients: portion chop and store fresh fruits vegetables and basic items
- Cook and plate menu items (e.g. breakfast soups salads) according to recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely including ovens stoves grills and microwaves
- Ensure food is cooked at proper temperatures and served in correct portions
- Clean and sanitize your station tools and equipment throughout your shift
- Keep your station stocked organized and assist line cooks or other team members as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of culinary experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Valid food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to follow recipes portion guidelines and presentation standards
- Attention to detail cleanliness and food safety
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for the entire shift
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
