Job Description

Supports the testing and basic troubleshooting of computer and communications systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  • Performs routine software and hardware testing of computer and communications systems using provided test tools.
  • Performs routine maintenance and upgrades as required.
  • Follows established test procedures and scripts to validate the performance of software and hardware.
  • Reports testing failures faults or inconsistencies as instructed.
  • Records test results updates documentation and assists in preparing technical reports.
  • Completes all required documentation pre and post-test write-ups and correspondence with test leadership.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of software and hardware issues.
  • Assists senior technicians with more complicated test scenarios and special projects.
  • Complies with all operational security and safety guidelines and procedures.
