This position is responsible for reviewing verifying and approving materials and supplier documentation to ensure adherence to USP <795> USP <797> USP <800> other applicable regulatory guidance documents and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Material Verification & Release Review Certificates of Analysis (CoA) Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and other supplier-provided documentation for accuracy and compliance. Verify material identity labeling and integrity of incoming raw materials excipients containers closures and packaging supplies. Ensure proper quarantine sampling and disposition of materials prior to release for use in the pharmacy. Supplier & Compliance Oversight Support vendor qualification and ongoing supplier monitoring activities. Escalate and document discrepancies deviations or nonconformances with incoming materials. Assist in supplier audits as needed. Quality Documentation & Recordkeeping Review and maintain accurate complete and compliant records of material inspection disposition and traceability. Ensure all material release activities comply with USP <795> USP <797> USP <800> and other regulatory guidance documents as applicable. Participate in investigations CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and change control processes related to incoming materials. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with Quality Control (QC) Warehouse and Production teams to ensure efficient and compliant material flow. Support training efforts related to incoming material inspection and handling procedures. Contribute to process improvements to enhance material control and quality assurance practices. Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences Chemistry Biology or related field (or equivalent relevant experience). 13 years of experience in Quality Assurance Quality Control or Regulatory Compliance within the pharmaceutical biotechnology or compounding pharmacy industry. Knowledge of USP<795> USP <797> USP <800> aseptic compounding practices and cGMP. Strong attention to detail organizational and documentation skills. Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office and experience with quality management systems (QMS) preferred. Quality and compliance focus with strong decision-making skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated fast-paced environment. Problem-solving mindset with commitment to continuous improvement. Primarily office and controlled warehouse/cleanroom environments. May require gowning to enter into environmentally controlled spaces. May require standing walking and lifting up to 25 lbs.
