The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
The Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) is a national study of adult development and aging that has recruited more than 50000 individuals across Canada. Information is being collected through in person interviews telephone interviews and physical assessments.

The Montreal CLSA Data Collection Site is located at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI MUHC). Now in its 5th wave of data collection the Montreal CLSA Site is recruiting an auxiliary nurse to conduct interviews and physical assessments with CLSA participants between the ages of 55 and 95. These participants were recruited between 2012 and 2015.
General Duties
Confirming and scheduling appointments
Welcoming and registering participants
Venipuncture to collect blood samples (ESSENTIAL)
Performing tests to assess mobility balance grip strength and cognitive function (training provided)
Measuring weight height blood pressure carotid aorta thickness lung function and ECG (training provided)
DXA bone density scanning (training provided)
Vision and hearing assessments (training provided)
Operation and maintenance of equipment
Performing regular calibration and quality control of equipment
Complying with quality standards according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and applying practices required by the RI-MUHC for personal safety safe use of equipment protection of information and proper disposal of all waste generated (including biological and reagent waste)
Reagent and inventory control data entry and record keeping
Performing other related duties requested by the immediate supervisor.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) an asset
Fluent in spoken French and English (ESSENTIAL)
