Maryland Public Television commonly known as MPT is a public television network that broadcasts throughout the entire state of Maryland and the District of Columbia and into parts of Delaware Pennsylvania Virginia and West Virginia. MPT is Marylands only statewide broadcaster. Headquartered in Owings Mills MPT is a member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and is a producer of both locally and nationally distributed TV programs and digital content.
Maryland Public Television is seeking aDigital Content Student Fellowwho willassist various departments with functions that range from the full gamut of production to the final product.This fellowship program offers an in-depth hands-on learning experience for college students interested inall stages of broadcast/digital content program will run from October 2025 through May 2026 at 16 hours per week.
This digital content fellowwill create and manage various forms of digital content including assistingwith website content uploads editing videos and designing digital include collaborating with teams like marketing and contentOther key responsibilities involve:
Uploading maintaining andtroubleshooting website content
Creating and editing videoswriting descriptions and creating thumbnails
Assisting with photographyproduction and editing (avid or premiere)
Understanding of digitalmarketing techniques social media and YouTube content production
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possessionof a high school equivalency certificate is required. Applicants must becurrent college and/or university students or recent college graduates withinthe past (6) months.
Experience: Applicants must have prior experience withmedia production and video editing software.
