Job Summary
Construction Field Superintendent
Alexandria MN Full-Time $75k$110k
Were partnering with a respected general contractor to add a Field Superintendent to their team. This role will oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects coordinating self-performed crews (concrete steel masonry) and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely on time and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong knowledge of construction methods safety protocols and the ability to manage crews effectively on multi-million-dollar projects.
Field Superintendent Responsibilities
- Supervise daily on-site construction activities and coordinate crews and subcontractors
- Enforce safety protocols conduct inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
- Manage schedules order materials and track project progress against timelines
- Monitor quality of self-performed structural work (concrete steel masonry)
- Communicate with clients subcontractors suppliers and office staff to resolve issues quickly
- Support project managers and superintendents in maintaining budgets and schedules
Field Superintendent Qualifications
- 5 years of construction supervision or field leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods safety regulations and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in commercial construction preferred
- Candidates with rural Minnesota ties strongly encouraged to apply (within 75 miles of Alexandria)
Compensation & Benefits
- $75k$110k base salary (depending on experience)
