Position Summary
The Technical Trainer is responsible for designing delivering and evaluating training programs for the companys production and technical workforce. This role ensures employees are equipped with the knowledge skills and safety awareness necessary to operate equipment follow procedures and achieve operational excellence. The Technical Trainer works closely with HR operations and engineering teams to identify training needs develop training content and provide hands-on instruction in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop deliver and evaluate technical and safety training programs for production maintenance and technical employees.
Conduct onboarding training for new employees ensuring understanding of company policies safety standards and job-specific skills.
Partner with operations engineering and maintenance leaders to assess training needs and create competency-based training plans.
Maintain up-to-date training materials manuals and SOPs in alignment with equipment processes and regulatory requirements.
Deliver classroom and hands-on training sessions in equipment operation troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
Monitor trainee progress and provide coaching feedback and performance assessments.
Maintain accurate training records in the learning management system (LMS) and ensure compliance with company and regulatory training requirements.
Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying skills gaps and recommending targeted training solutions.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for technical knowledge safety practices and operational best practices.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelors degree in Technical Education Industrial Technology Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
3 years of experience in technical training industrial instruction or manufacturing operations.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes equipment and safety standards.
Experience designing and delivering training programs in both classroom and hands-on environments.
Excellent communication presentation and coaching skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
Ability to adapt training methods for diverse learning styles and levels of experience.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Bilingual skills (English/Chinese or English/Spanish) a plus.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
Pay: $27.00-$30.00/hr
