DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate hospital departments staff and patient rooms.
Provide information to callers regarding hospital services visiting hours and general inquiries.
Page and relay messages to physicians nurses and other healthcare staff as needed.
Maintain accurate records of calls pages and messages using hospital software.
Provide compassionate and professional assistance to patients and their families.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in using telephone systems paging software and computer applications.
Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures is a plus.
Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
