About the Role
Join Suncorps Technology & Operations team to design and deliver resilient secure and automated development platforms. As a Senior System Engineer youll contribute to continuous delivery strategies and empower teams with cutting-edge tools and practices.
What Youll Do
- Deliver and maintain secure automated development platforms that support continuous delivery across the enterprise
- Drive platform improvements using Lean practices automation and monitoring to enhance resilience and customer outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure platform reliability compliance and innovation
- Support incident resolution disaster recovery planning and platform upgrades to maintain operational excellence
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps and proposals for new technologies and secure development practices
- Share knowledge and mentor others to uplift engineering capability across the team
What Youll Bring
- Platform Engineering Developing templates to deliver and manage platforms in a uniform manner (using Jenkinsfiles; Ansible roles Terraform)
- Continuous Delivery and Supply chain using pipeline as code (Jenkins or similar) distributed version control (Git or similar) artefact mgmt. (Maven Gradle or similar) and security scanning and analysis.
- Strong scripting (Python Groovy as well as bash or PowerShell) for system administration and management.
- Cloud engineering and experience with AWS/Azure services/ROSA.
- Secure development tooling - skills in delivering and operating application security orchestration tools in an enterprise environment
- Excellent understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration (Windows administration is a bonus)
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Grafana/Splunk/Dynatrace.
- Experience working with tools like Jira Confluence Bitbucket Artifactory Splunk advantageous
