How youll contribute
A Sleep Lab Authorization Specialist who excels in this role:
Smiles and provides caring customer service.
Ensures procedures are correctly scheduled for the required services including any necessary changes to appointments based on patient request.
Performs pre-certification and registration of all sleep center appointments and resolves case-related concerns prior to a patients appointment using necessary hospital patient information systems.
Gathers pertinent information from insurance carriers financial counselors and other ancillary staff to ensure services are billed accurately.
Resolves case-related concerns after a patients appointment.

What were looking for
The right candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate pre-registration and insurance verification. The Sleep Center Authorization Specialist will use a variety of the Hospitals patient information related systems assesses each case related concern and resolves issues with regards to appointments financial matters and clearance for Sleep Lab services. Shares information with appropriate personnel to ensure the smooth processing of patients appointments and information.
Applicants must have a High school diploma or equivalent required Additional requirements include:
Requires 3 months on the job training.
