TheCentral Business Analystsupports theClinical Account Executivein delivering clinical products and services to clients. Under general supervision this role performs key functions including clinical data analysis trend evaluation and project management participation. The position is designed to build competencies in clinical strategy planning development consultation presentation implementation and ongoing management of clinical programs and services.
Essential Functions
Assist with assigned business division projects such as identifying medication utilization and plan design trends and applying findings to client-specific clinical strategies within the scope of utilization management initiatives.
Support formulary modeling and plan design analysis contributing to the development of clinical strategies and business plans for both existing and prospective clients.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of theoperational and clinical Life of a Claim including key touchpoints that impact utilization management formulary adherence and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with clinical staff to fulfill client reporting and data analysis needs in alignment with business division goals and objectives.
Partner with Sales/Marketing Clinical and other internal departments to support the execution of business division initiatives.
Participate in formal and informal training programs and professional development activities to enhance clinical and analytical skill sets.
Actively contribute to staff meetings committees and departmental workgroups to support team collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
3 years of PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) to support clinical reporting and trend analysis.
Understanding of healthcare industry regulations (e.g. HIPAA CMS guidelines) and their impact on clinical programs.
Experience working with SQL or other data query languages to extract and analyze large datasets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate current workflows and identify solutions.
Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Ability to manage workload independently work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptable in a dynamic work environment; quick learner with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
