Scientific Coordination Unit Internal Strategy Area
VHIR offers two Project Manager positions to join Scientific Coordination Unit. Her/his mission will be to support Innovative & Advanced Therapies CORE (Collaborative Research strategic space) at VHIR. The COREs objective is to promote research and innovation in advanced therapies generating new opportunities to strengthen VHIRs research potential in this field. The Project Manager will play a central role in identifying research groups with expertise in advanced therapies and in designing implementing and managing projects while providing support to the overall VHIR strategy in this field.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Health Sciences.
Desired:
Masters degree in Health Sciences (preferred but not limited to Biology Biochemistry Pharmacy Biotechnology Bioengineering Medicine Veterinary Science etc.).
PhD in Health Sciences (preferred but not limited to Biology Biochemistry Pharmacy Biotechnology Bioengineering Medicine Veterinary Science etc.).
Postgraduate training in project management research management or innovation will be valued.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Minimum 2-3 yearsexperience and/or project management within the biomedical sector.
Knowledge of advanced therapies research (i.e. cell gene immune and combined therapies) as well as their manufacturing and regulatory aspects.
Previous work experience in project management in Biomedical Research Institutes associated with a hospital.
Excellent written and oral communication in Catalan Spanish and English.
Good command of MS Office and other computer tools.
Personal skills: Well-organised proactive and dynamic results-oriented professional with close attention to detail and with the ability to prioritise. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different hierarchical levels of the organisation.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Support the organisation coordination and development of the Innovative & Advanced Therapies CORE ensuring its alignment with VHIRs scientific strategy.
Support the development and implementation of the initiatives and projects within the field of innovative and advanced therapies.
Identify and analyse research groups with expertise in innovative and advanced therapies to strengthen collaboration and promote excellence at VHIR.
Conduct benchmarking analyses and stay up to date with scientific technological and regulatory advances in the field of advanced therapies.
Foster collaborative research by coordinating joint projects initiatives and scientific events and by promoting strategic alliances with internal and external partners.
Identify funding opportunities relevant to advanced therapies and support the preparation of competitive proposals.
Contribute to institutional strategic priorities and cross-cutting initiatives in advanced therapies collaborating closely with other VHIR support units to ensure the effective implementation of initiatives and projects.
Support any additional tasks or duties related to the position
Participate in teaching or educational activities of the Unit and VHIR for the adequate performance of the assigned role.
Labour conditions:
Full-time position: 40h/week.
Starting date: immediate.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract: 2 open-ended contracts linked to the project (until 30/06/2026).
