Job Summary
Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Newton NJ 07860
Payrate: $70 - $75/hr
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for providing technical support and patient care during cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures. This role involves preparation assistance during procedures and post-procedure care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up for cardiac catheterizations PCI (including STEMI) peripheral vascular procedures pacemaker insertions interventional radiology procedures and more.
- Monitor document and calculate hemodynamic data accurately.
- Assist physicians during all phases of the procedure: pre- intra- and post-operative.
- Assess and manage vascular access sites and notify physicians of any concerns.
- Adhere to on-call protocols and be available as required.
- Prepare patients prior to procedures ensuring all necessary steps are followed for safety and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist
- RCIS certification preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience required
- Prior experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab is required
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
