Job Description:

The Protein Science group within Biologics and Genetic Medicine is seeking a motivated Scientist with hands-on experience in protein characterization and LC-MS based bioanalysis. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of advanced robust analytical methods for the characterization of diverse molecular formats including peptides and proteins.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement high-resolution LC-MS methods for peptide mapping and intact protein analysis.
Perform sample handling preparation and characterization using LC-MS and related analytical techniques (Western blotting SEC-MALS ELISA and spectroscopy).
Maintain operate and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including LC-MS systems HPLC and biological sample extraction systems.
Perform data analysis and interpretation to support experimental outcomes.
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of experiments results and procedures in compliance with laboratory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support biologics development projects.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Biochemistry Analytical Chemistry or related field (masters preferred; PhD considered overqualified).
3 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in protein science or analytical biochemistry.
Basic understanding of protein characterization techniques including LC-MS SEC-MALS and Western blotting.
Strong skills in sample preparation for peptide mapping and proteomics.
Experience in basic instrument operation routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accurate experimental records.
Ability to analyse interpret and present experimental data effectively.
